6901 - 6990, 8001 - 8150 and 8151 - 8400

Before Atlantean 7800 had been delivered Northern Counties, in April 1977, commenced on a batch of Fleetlines commencing with 6901 for LUT. After 7800 was delivered they started on another batch of Atlanteans for GMT from 8151, as well as more Fleetlines for LUT and a new batch of Fleetlines for GMT, from 8001. Whilst these were being built, Park Royal was still building the batch 7801 - 7960, as the last of the batch of 160 Park Royal bodied Atlanteans, 7960, was not delivered until 11th July 1979.

Hence, four batches of vehicles were all being built and delivered at one time:-

6901 - 6990             Northern Counties

7801 - 7960             Park Royal

8001 - 8150             Northern Counties

8151 - 8400             Northern Counties

The three batches of vehicles being bodied by Northern Counties after 7800 were Leyland Fleetlines for LUT - 6901 - 6990 (6901 delivered April 1977), Leyland Fleetlines for GMT - 8001 - 8150 (8001 being delivered in June 1978) and '8000' Leyland Atlanteans for GMT - 8151 - 8400 (8151 being delivered in January 1978).
